Statistics say that a baby smiles 400 times a day while an adult only 20 times. On International Happiness Day, celebrated on March 20, 2014 , DeVision decided to change statistics and started an action whose aim is to bring a smile on the faces of Bucharest's inhabitants: " Smiles by envelopes" . Association's volunteers shared envelopes with beautiful messages in two crowded areas of the city, Cişmigiu Park and North Train Station - the central train station of the capital.

The first edition of this action was a success. For the International Hapiness Day, our volunteers (Iulia, Mihaela and Stefan) shared Smiles in Envelopes in Cismigiu Park and Nord Station. 300 envelopes, 300 positive messages, 300 smiling people. :).

Smiley messages arrived in Constanta and Braila too.

DeVision Association and Bucharest Metropolitan Library launched the second edition of the " Smiles at envelope" which aims to bring a smile on the faces of Bucharest inhabitants. If during the first edition the volunteers of DeVision Association have shared envelopes with beautiful messages in different areas of Bucharest (Cişmigiu Park, North Station, downtown area), the second edition was organized as a workshop on written communication, on December 13, 2014, 11:00-13 :00 at Branch Hasdeu of the Bucharest Metropolitan Library.

In this workshop , participants learned about the benefits of handwriting, to the detriment of the computer and were encouraged to handwrite messages to other people, the customers of the Library. The messages were inserted into a book so readers have a surprise and smile when they discover them.

Bucharest residents are always in a hurry, gloomy and rarely smile. Statistics say that a child smiles 400 times a day, while an adult only 20 times. By this action DeVision Association and Bucharest Metropolitan Library wanted to demonstrate that smile brings a lot of benefits from reducing stress and improving heart function , remove depression or anxiety states . On the other hand, handwriting improves memory, patience and cultivate a more personal communication.
